So yesterday I made a trip to Sephora and as I was browsing I came across this GORGEOUS palette. It is the Sephora and Pantone Universe The Eye: Radiant Femme Artistry Set and it is a Limited Edition palette. The colors are first and foremost absolutely beautiful and so so so pigmented and buttery! It was love at first swatch. I had to grab this palette right away. As if I need any more eye shadows right? Nope. You can never have too many! (At least in my opinion) .
This palette is $58.00 CAD. It contains 25 eye shadow colors in mattes, shimmers and satins which all claim to compliment the Sephora+Pantone Color of the Year—Radiant Orchid (which is taken from the actual paint chip if you guys were wondering.
The packaging is really cute. It’s sleek and very light. They used their color of the year (the purple/magenta shade) towards the top which slowly fades to white as you can see in the photo. To me it looks like it is mimicking a laptop – not sure if they did that on purpose or it is a coincidence but I really like it! I also love the fact that it comes with a very large mirror – an added bonus. Now let’s get to the good stuff – the shadows!
When you open up the palette there is a plastic cover with the names/numbers written on them. You can see the Color of the Year is at the bottom and above there are six groups of four colors which are said to all compliment the Color of the Year “Radiant Orchid”. From left to right: Cream Dream, Rare Earth, Bird of Paradise, Venus Rising, Primal Flower & Midnight Orchid.
Without the plastic cover – you can see there are no names/numbers visible on the actual palette.
Below will be close ups of the six groups of shadows along with swatches. I did not use a primer with the swatches.
Left to Right: Pink Champagne, Peach Whip, Almost Apricot, Fairy Tale
From left to right: Dawn, Rose Cloud, Camel, Rain Drum
“Bird of Paradise”
From left to right: Glacier, Blue Spruce, Cendre Blue, Ensign Blue
From left to right: Sheer Pink, Fudgesickle, Vineyard Wine, Mulberry Purple
From left to right: Cornsilk, Toasted Almond, Red Violet, Deep Taupe
From left to right: Snow White, Silver, Quiet Shade, Caviar
“Color of the Year”
I hope you guys liked the swatches. It is honestly such an amazingly beautiful palette and I cannot wait to start creating looks with it! You truly have so many shades to choose from and for the price you are getting a great deal! 25 shadows is great! You can see how pigmented the colors are. I didn’t use a primer either – these are all without one! I am going to definitely say this will be my new favorite palette. Go out and get it now before it’s gone!!
