MAKEUP REVOLUTION: I <3 MAKEUP HAUL (REVIEW AND SWATCHES)

Hi beauties!

If you’re a follower of my blog and/or follow me on Instagram then you already know of my *obsession* with the brand from the UK “Makeup Revolution”. They have amazing products for drugstore prices – even cheaper! I recently found out that they just came out with a sister brand called “I ❤ MAKEUP”.

You can purchase this brand from their website www.makeuprevolutionstore.com and once you go there you will see a tab that’s written “I ❤ MAKEUP”.

I feel this sister brand is a tad bit more expensive than the items from the Makeup Revolution brand while still being very afforable! I think it’s a bit more expensive due to the focus on better packaging and just overall appearance of the items. Quality wise I can’t really tell you which brand is better – I mean they both come from the same company in the end. You will find MANY makeup dupes for higher end products from both of their lines. I purchased all of these items myself from their website.

This is how the “I Heart Chocolate” palette comes packaged

This is one of the items that I was extremely excited about and just HAD to have when I saw it. It is called the “I Heart Chocolate” palette. I am sure many of you are familiar with the Too Faced cosmetics “Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette” which can be purchased at Sephora and other retail/online stores that carry Too Faced. The Too Faced Palette retails for $49.00 USD.

This “I Heart Chocolate” palette by I ❤ MAKEUP is literally an EXACT dupe for the Too Faced palette and this palette only retails for $14.78 CAD/$13.17 USD. Quite a steal if I don’t say so myself. Now you may be thinking “Ok well it can look the same but is the quality the same?” well that’s why I will show comparison swatches! (see I always have your back! haha)

This is the how the palette looks. How adorable is that?? I actually like it better than the Too Faced one! (and it’s much sleeker)

When you open the palette up it has a thin piece of plastic over the eye shadow colors with the names of each color (identical to how the Too Faced “Chocolate Bar Palette” came as well).

Adorable names too huh? I really love how they give names to each shade because usually when you buy less expensive palettes they don’t come with names for each color.

Now if you’re familiar with the Too Faced “Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette” then you know that it actually smells like cocoa. This palette unfortunately does not but I think I can live without that!

Here are the two palettes in comparison side by side. Too Faced to the left, I ❤ MAKEUP to the right.

As you can see they are pretty much IDENTICAL. “I ❤ MAKEUP” literally has duped every single shade. The only difference is the placing of the cream shadow in the top row. Other than that each shade are identical dupes. Now for the fun part – side by side swatches of the Too Faced shades next to the I ❤ MAKEUP ones. I did NOT use a primer for these swatches. Each shade is labelled so hopefully it’s not confusing!

I did the swatches row by row. As you can see – the shades are literally identical and I am so impressed with the quality of the I ❤ MAKEUP shadows. For the price you literally cannot beat it! I am so tempted to return my Too Faced palette. If you have been wanting the Too Facedpalette but don’t want to spend the money I would TOTALLY ge this one. Just look at the side by side swatches. You can barely tell the difference. I also tested the shadows out and they are so long lasting as well. Once again this company has done it again. Such a fan.

Now the next items which are another Too Faced dupe are the I ❤ Makeup “Blushing Hearts” blushes and highlighter. I was ecstatic about these because I had always wanted the Too Faced ones but I just could not justify the price. The Too Faced ones are called the “Sweethearts Blush” and they retail for $30.00 USD. The I ❤ MAKEUP “Blushing Hearts” blushes and highlighter are literally exact dupes and retail for $8.23 USD/$9.23 CAD.

I just cannot stop staring at them. They are sooo pretty and look exactly like the Too Faced ones. (Packaging and everything)

They claim to be “Triple Baked” which is awesome because anything baked is usually beautiful, especially on the skin!

 The first one I got is this pinky one in the shade “Candy Queen of Hearts”

 

Here is a swatch of all the shades mixed together. It’s a gorgeous pinky sheen that will look amazing on the cheeks.

The next one I got is called “Peachy Keen Heart”

I love this one! Like the name states it’s more on the peachy/gold side. This is the swatch of all the shades mixed together. Gorgeous ❤

Here is their “Triple Baked Highlighter” which is the only Heart highlighter they have in this range so far.

Look how gorgeous that highlight is! So pigmented and it’s a perfect pinky champagne shade that is flattering on so many skin tones. I love it.

The “Blushing Hearts” range also has some baked bronzers and I believe another blush shade but these are just the three that I picked up. You can see all of the items available through their website of course. I am definitely a huge fan of these products. I love less expensive dupes and with this brand that is exactly what you are getting along with amazing quality too! ❤ What more can you ask for?

The last item I picked up from the I ❤ MAKEUP line is one of their “Lip Geek” lipsticks.

I got the shade “Dream About Success” which is a peachy pink shade.

It’s a satin finish that is very moisturizing on the lips.

Makeup Revolution has done it again with their sister brand I ❤ MAKEUP. I am just always so impressed with their creativity and the QUALITY that goes into each item. They ship internationally and take PayPal which is awesome. Like I keep saying, expect more and more products from this company here on my blog. I just cannot stay away!
