Hi beauties!
To my surprise and utter excitement, I received all 9 of the new BECCA Cosmetics “Aqua Luminous Perfecting Concealers”. I was so excited the try them out as I have to admit I am quite the concealer addict! I’m always looking for new, groundbreaking concealers. (I really am a makeup junkie!) They released 9 concealers ranging from quite fair to more tan shades reaching to slightly deeper tones. I have to say they don’t have as many deep options for those with much deeper skin tones but I’m sure they will add colours to their range in the future!
You can purchase the concealers on their website here or on the Sephora website here/in stores. Each concealer retails for USD$30.00//CAD$36.00. It is quite expensive but it’s in the same range as a lot of the higher end concealers that can be found at Sephora.
This concealer claims to “provide weightless, buildable coverage with every water-light drop. This 32 percent water-rich concealer is easily blendable, and it blurs imperfections, covers dark circles, hides blemishes and hyper pigmentation, and perfects skintone while creating a radiant-looking complexion. Its lightweight texture fuses with the skin and effortlessly delivers light-to-medium, buildable coverage for a natural-looking, non-cakey finish. It includes a custom dewdrop applicator that provides the perfect amount of product for an even application“.
It is formulated WITHOUT:
– Parabens
– Sulfates
– Phthalates
I love the applicator as it’s shaped with a more wide tip so it’s easy to layer the product nice and even.
I like to highlight my face with concealers by using a lighter shade under my eyes in a triangle motion and also bringing the lighter shade down the bridge of my nose, in the centre of my forehead and also sometimes below the area of my cheeks that I contour to really sculpt them. It’s totally up to you where you want to highlight but those are just my tips. You can also use a darker shade to cream contour which is another great technique. My favorite way to blend out my under eye concealer is with my damp beauty blender. It honestly gives the most flawless finish ever! When you want to conceal any spots, it’s best to not use the same shade you would use under your eyes but to use a shade that matches your foundation so it blends seamlessly and it will hide your blemish better.

Deep Bronze – deepest with neutral/golden undertones
Dark Golden – deep with neutral/golden undertones
Warm Honey – medium/deep with neutral undertones
Tan – medium/tan with neutral undertones
Medium – medium with neutral undertones
Beige – light/medium with neutral undertones
Light – light with neutral undertones
Fair – fair with neutral undertones
Porcelain – very fair with slight pink undertones
I seriously love the formula of these concealers! They are super light weight and non-cakey but yet they have great pigmentation and are super buildable. They blend out beautifully and barely crease under the eyes! (all concealer creases a bit on me as I have fine lines under my eyes but I think that goes for everyone). Overall I’m super impressed and these have quickly become a top favorite concealer of mine! Let me know your thoughts down below and which concealers you swear by.
XO Julia
