If you saw my last post, you’d know that I placed an order and bought a few Makeup Revolution products. I’ve also had my eye on this Blush, Bronzer and Highlight palette which is the “Golden Sugar 2” Palette. You can purchase this palette on their website here. It retails for CAD$10.07 which is beyond affordable for what you’re getting!
The palette itself is super simple – it’s just like the shadow palette I reviewed yesterday here. It’s made out of a sturdy plastic and it comes with a full size mirror which is great!
There are 8 shades in total. There are blushes, bronzers and highlight shades. The only matte ones are the 2 bronzing shades on the far right – the rest of them are all beautifully metallic and have a gorgeous sheen.
Now for the swatches.. (No primer used)
From top to bottom/left to right:
There are no names for the shades which I kind of wish they had, but it isn’t that big of a deal. As you can see, the metallic shades are all very very iridescent and catch the light beautifully. You have your peachy/pinky blush tone shades, your lighter highlighting ones and then your darker bronzing shades. My favourite of the bunch has to be the third one from the left.. it is the bright golden shade that is honestly SUCH a stunning highlight shade. It reminds me of the MAC Whisper of Gilt type highlighters which happen to be my favourite shade of highlight to use! I love the formula of these shades, especially the really metallic ones because they give off that “wet” highlight look and are very finely milled. I would love it if they came out with a single pan highlight in that golden shade with the same formula as it’s such a great highlight! The matte bronzing shades don’t swatch as beautifully as the metallic ones but I have actually been really loving the darker bronze shade to bronze my face and the lighter more cool toned one to contour!
I have to say this palette is all-around amazing! Once again Makeup Revolution has really impressed me and I’ve fallen in love all over again with this brand! You just cannot beat the prices and the quality. If you’re a highlight junkie like myself, you need this palette. For me the highlight shades are what make the palette and they honestly did such an amazing job, from the formula to the shades – i’m sold! Let me know your thoughts and what you think of this palette. ❤
