ColourPop Pressed Powder Shadows

Hi beauties!

ColourPop recently released their biggest launch ever which is a whole line of “Pressed Powder Shadows“! If you’re familiar with the brand then you are well aware of their “Super Shock Shadows” that made them super popular a couple years ago. Those shadows are unique in that they are almost “mousse” like and need to be sealed in their packaging so they don’t dry out. They’re one of my favourite shadows ever – especially the metallics in their line. I was super excited when I found out that ColourPop was releasing a whole line of pressed shadows as I knew they would be amazing and it was something I was missing from their line! Each Pressed Powder Shadow retails for USD$5.00 which is beyond affordable! That’s another thing I adore about their line is how affordable everything is. You can purchase their shadows on their website HERE. When you purchase any 4 shadows, they include a FREE eyeshadow palette to fit your 4 shadows.

They released over 20 shades and also released 2 fixed eye shadow quads.

They have a range of different finishes from Matte, Metallic & Satin. Their shadows are super pigmented and ultra velvety & silky.

Hi-Maintenance & Lo-Key Palettes

Here are their 2 pre-made palettes in “Hi-Maintenance” & “Lo-Key“. These palettes retail for USD$18.00 each. You can purchase each shadow separately if desired, but it’s nice that they offer you the option to purchase a pre-made palette for USD$18.00 so technically you are saving USD$2.00! (Because each shadow is USD$5.00)

Here are the swatches of the Hi-Maintenance Palette

Take It Slow: metallic warm champagne

I Owe You: matte mid-tone orange

Running Late: matte creamy orange

Criss Cross: matte brick orange

As you can see, the shadows are truly beautiful. I love that they have a tonne of warm shadows as well as some cooler toned ones to add variety. They have more matte shades overall at the moment which I love because they make the perfect transition shades. Their metallics are beautiful as well & super creamy and pigmented. Their mattes are also super pigmented and creamy. My only complaint is that I wish their individual palettes were a bit thinner as I find them quite bulky. (especially as a makeup hoarder, I need to save as much space as I can! haha) Other than that I love the fact that they offer to include a free palette when you purchase 4 shadows. I just stuck all of the individual shadows into a large magnetic palette – you can find them easily online such as a Z-Palette & also Morphe sells a bunch of magnetic palettes for an affordable price! Overall I am seriously impressed with these ColourPop Pressed Powder Shadows! They’re super affordable and such great quality that it’s just so worth it to give them a try, and let me tell you, you will not be disappointed. They also blend super easy which is a plus! Let me know your thoughts on these shadows and which shades you love!

XO Julia ❤

      1. Excellent post. I was checking constantly this blog and I am impressed! Extremely helpful info specially the last phase I care for such info a lot. I used to be seeking this particular information for a long time. Thanks and best of luck.

      2. Does it really, 9.54? Why? I know I’m not objective, but… are you sure the trade mag people are? Also, they’re not creatives. Also, this little beastie is interactive – if readers think I’ve got something wrong, and can convince me with a few examples, I can change it. So… in what way do you think it works better if a trade mag did it?
